The Critic.

I am now going to proceed to write the kind of restaurant review that I'd like to read.

Pizza Fusion. Rawdah Street. Next to Bert's Cafe. If you don't know where Bert's Cafe is, what the hell, everyone knows where Bert's Cafe is. Look it up. Ask a friend.

Interior was nice. Lighting not harsh, good for photos especially if you haven't plucked your eyebrows, or you have a zit. Small-ish. There are booths. We've gone twice now, both times as a big group of about 10-15, maybe even 20 people. We fit.

Comfortable seats. Smoking. Nice pictures on walls.

Very health-oriented. My organic friends loved it.

Food was good. They serve salads; the gorgonzola and beet and walnut ones are really good. And I'm not even a salad person. Or maybe I was just really starving. They have a whole bunch of pizzas. The sausage and something was good. So was the Big Kahuna, which was bacon and heaps of vegetables. Thin crusts. Nice and filling, the good kind. Unless you stuff your face with 5 slices of pizza. Also, forget your diet. Seriously.

Oh, and their pizzas are a bit salty.

They have vegan food. You can change the cheese in the other pizzas to soy cheese. Vegans in Jeddah rejoice. All 2 of them.

This is the family size pizza. 60 riyals.

The only dessert they have is chocolate chip cookies.

Each person might spend about 60 riyals on average.

Service is excellent. Look for the waiter who looks like Joey Tribbiani's nephew in that spin-off show Joey. He's Filipino. They're all really nice. Leave a tip. Coz they really are nice, and very entertaining.

At one point, I was giving one waiter my order, and he goes "Anything else?"

"Yes, please. I'd like a nice guy, please. Smart, funny. Etc."

Waiter goes, "Sorry, ma'am, we're out of those tonight. But I'll speak to the manager, I'm sure we can come up with something."

Hmm. Was he really that witty, or was it just a Filipino humor thing?

Who knows.
