A Lesson in Obsession.
The best thing about obsessive love is that spring in your step, that smile you always have on.
The worst thing about it is that you end up obsessing about something that is not entirely accurate. We always have an image of that other person, and we subconsciously build that image; take away the bad traits or conceal them, hide them neatly under the bed, along with the things they do that hurt you and break you down; and highlight the (imagined?) good traits and the things they do or say that make you feel special.
And then reality shows up and shatters you.
Best be careful, he said.
