Tom Cruise

Tom Cruise is 50-something years old. 

I can't stand that concrete smile on his face, the permanent lines on the sides of his mouth that keeps that grin perpetually pasted on, the one you just want to slap off. Here:


He looks like he could be the godfather of all investment banker douchebags.

He's a beautiful man, sure, always good-looking. Always the good guy even when he's the bad guy. 

I hate him.

But people in his industry talk about him with such respect for his dedication and excellence at his craft, really, HOW CAN I? 

There have been (and continue to be) so many jokes about him, and save for my sister who grew up worshipping him in Top Gun (AGH, SO MANY JOKES HERE), I don't know anyone who would say that they like him. Everyone I know hates him just as much as I do. 

People who work in the same field as him make fun of him, always, but only in the beginning. They always end with comments of awe and respect for this guy. Always. He is meticulous, hard-working, dedicated, excellent, they say, EXCELLENT, at being an actor. 

Maybe I should stop hating him and start being more like him. Does it really matter what people think of you when you can back your shit up, when you're excellent at what you do?

    hmmmm hate is a rather strong word, but if I am to use it in the above context, I think it will have to be David Beckham.

    I mean, the sports, the challenges, the victory, the looks, wait, am gonna stop, the list is way too long, and now am starting to build up hate :p

    everytime i see him sprint in a movie,i feel like jumping off my seat and sprint.

    i hate steven segal..he always looks like he is solving a tough math quiz when he is doing his martial arts…either that or he is always consitipated

    Dont worry, you aint alone on this one. I personally cannot stand to see the man's face. it has FAKE written all over it. The only reason I havent watched ghost protocol is cuz he is int it hahaha

    DENTOGRAPHER: Hahaha you only hate Steven Segal because when he fights, his hair is always perfect.

    U.A.C.: I do actually watch all his movies, and I have nothing to say about his skills as an actor. He's pretty brilliant. It's just his face. I can't stand his face.

I got a pretty inspiring quote from a friend today. It goes: "No one can make you feel inferior without your consent." - Eleanor Roosevelt Now, that's quite true. A little insensitive to the little details of the things, people and situations that make someone feel inferior, but sure, she might truly be on to something here. The quote implies that everyone has (and can) control everything that goes on in their lives. That is of course, misleading. Human relationships and the human mind are both very complex and so intertwined that there is no way for anyone to be in full control of what or who makes them feel inferior. Therefore, it is important to remember that these quotes are not to be followed religiously in all aspects all the time. Think of it as a reminder to be aware of the things you can control so you may control them, and to eliminate those things you are able to eliminate so that you are not made to feel inferior. Eliminate. What will you be eliminating?

Band-Aided.

When they said that Band-Aid s could fix anything, I didn't really believe it. Early this year, (a few months after I bought my laptop Olaf), I dropped my phone charger on it and the thin layer glossed over it acquired a tiny crack. Over time, the crack got bigger. I resisted the urge to put a sticker over it, mainly because the reason I loved Olaf so much was how minimalist and white it was. Anything would've distracted from this. Besides, there isn't a sticker cool enough to be on the cover of Olaf. (Yes, I mother it to death.) However, it really got worse. I had to do something. The solution? A nice kiddie adhesive bandage that I can remove anytime (in the event that I get tired of looking at it) without causing the crack to expand. Yes, Band-Aid AND Snoopy are always the best solutions. *** You know how sometimes you say the stupidest thing, and you realize that AS SOON AS YOU SAY IT, at that exact moment when you just can't take it back?
