Cake II.
Yesterday, we REALLY did go to KAEC, like I said in the previous blog post. There was a photography exhibit at the business center. Most of the city isn't finished yet, and like S and I were saying, we'll probably be either very old, or [gulp] dead by the time the whole city is done. It's very promising, but we will just have to wait and see.
This is one of my favorite shots of one of the scale models:

There were a lot of "unfinished" dead-end roads there. Lovely to take pictures of. Someday, they will use this picture to show "before" shots of KAEC.
The parts that were finished were pretty, but honestly, not very different from the swanky places we see in Jeddah.
The photo exhibit was called "Photograph Your Country" or something. Nice pictures, but we went much later (after the opening), so there weren't a lot of people. It was an hour-long drive each, to go and come back.
